Echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart. It allows the doctor to see your heart beating and measure the flow of blood. An echocardiogram is used to assess the function of your heart muscles, heart valves and how well your heart is pumping blood.

- Family history or risk of heart attack, high cholesterol
- Risk of heart disease such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes
