MRI uses a strong magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to create detailed images of the inside of the body. An MRI is very safe as it does not use potentially harmful ionizing radiation.

An MRI scan is a non-invasive and painless procedure to examine your organs, tissues and skeletal system to help diagnose a variety of problems such as, but not limited to:

  • Anomalies of the brain, spinal cord and blood vessels
  • Tumors, cysts, and other anomalies in various parts of the body
  • Injuries or abnormalities of joints and muscles, such as the back and knee
  • Diseases of the liver, kidney and other internal organs
  • Anomalies of the uterus in women and prostate in men

  • Brain function problems such as memory loss, cognitive decline, abnormal movement, chronic headache
  • Family history of Alzheimer’s disease
